Hemodialysis unit:
As we know that very well, Hemodialysis is a procedure where a dialysis machine and a special filter called an artificial kidney, or a dialyzer, are used to clean blood. To get blood into the dialyzer, the doctor needs to make an access, or entrance, into blood vessels. Dialysis is a treatment that takes over kidney functions if those organs stop doing their job. So that people go to a dialysis center for treatment.
At the dialysis center, our health care professionals set up and help you connect to the dialysis machine. A team of health care workers will be available to help. You will continue to see your doctor. Other team members may include nurses, health care technicians, a dietitian, and a social worker, and so on.
